Abergowrie Old Boys

Sunday sees the official opening and blessing of the new and refurbished buildings after Bishop Putney celebrates Mass with the College community and old boys that would like to stay.

The order for Sunday is as follows

1pm  Start of proceeding’s with official speeches from official guests

2pm  Mass

Blessing & opening of buildings - with official guest, visitors and seniors to join the procession through the buildings

3pm  Afternoon tea - (available for purchase)

3:30pm  Close of event.

Lunch will be available for visitors and guests before the offical speeches begin.

Planning and preparations for the reunion on Saturday 13th September are in full force. At this stage we have a draft outline for the programme for the day.

Currently the programme is as follows.

10:00am - 1:00pm - Registration, meet & greet and lunch (Ingham Lions will be catering for the day with their BBQ and fish & chips)

1:30pm - Official Welcome and group photos.

3:00pm - Activities - Tug-o-war teams and Touch football

7:00pm - Bar and food tent close for Formal Speeches (to re-open after speeches have ended)

8:00pm - Finals of touch football

The list of events above may be subject to change.

There will also be amusements for the younger children.

 To help people get safely to and from the College we will have several courtesy coasters leaving from Rotary Park in Ingham.

Times as follow:

10:00am, 11:00am & 12:00pm and returning  to town at 10:00 pm, 10:30pm & 11:00pm. If necessary we will provide extra buses as the need arises.
